It’s Thanksgiving Week so that means the X Factor 2012 contestants will be giving thanks in the form of song.

Yes, the X Factor Top 10 will be singing inspirational songs that represent gratitude and thanks. So we can expect a lot of ballads (and surely some weird and annoying mash-ups produced by Simon Cowell).

And while the actual songs are still hush-hush, some of the contestants have teased what they’ll be doing this week.

“It’s all about inspiration and gratitude. It’s a really beautiful piece. It’s amazing,” says Drew Chadwick of Emblem 3.

Diamond White says she’s taking a similar route with this week’s theme.

“It’s going to be a very emotional week for me because there is a lot that I’m giving in the performance and a lot that I’m telling about my family, things I’ve never talked about before because it’s kinda been hard for me to talk about,” Diamond said. “This week is pretty much ballad week. Mine’s by an amazing diva.”

Not all the singers are going for a super slow song, it seems.

“I’m gonna fake you out a little bit. It’s gonna be kinda of slow but it may or may not get fast in the end,” Beatrice Miller said. “I’m not comfortable singing slow songs every week. It’s not my style. I’d rather sing like pumped up songs, but when you’re giving thanks to someone really important to you, it’s really difficult to find a fast song that’s gonna be able to give meaning to that. So, we’ll see. We’ll see.”

And on Thursday (no X Factor is not taking Thanksgiving off), we’ll find out who stays and who goes in this week’s results show. Also, British teen sensation Cher Lloyd will perform.

We’ll be here Wednesday and Thursday for all of your X Factor coverage.
