X Factor 2012: Most Judges’ Advisors Announced

This season, the X Factor 2012 judges will again have advisors to help them choose their final contestants during the judges’ homes round and we know three of the four advisors.

According to multiple reports, Marc Anthony will join Simon Cowell and his groups division. Nick Jonas will lend a hand to Demi Lovato and her 12-16 year olds while Justin Bieber will join L.A. Reid and his Over 25s group.

Britney Spears and her 17-24 year olds division have yet to be linked to an advisor. We’ll keep you posted on that as soon as we find out.

I wish they weren’t doing that whole judges’ house round. Last season it felt so offensive to bring these hopefuls into their multi-million dollar homes then basically slash their dreams. It just felt like such bad taste. But a lot of that season felt like it was in bad taste, so let’s hope there’s some improvement there at least.

The X Factor 2012 returns to Fox Wednesday and Thursday Sept. 12 and 13.

I can’t wait for the second season of “The X Factor USA”. I don’t understand why people didnt like this show so much. I think they wanted it to be exactly like American Idol. We don’t need another American Idol. This is a whole new show with a different twist in that the judges are competing against each other as well as the contestants.

I love the show and the whole concept. I think it is going to be interesting to see how the judges play the game and try to sabotage each other’s acts and sway public opinion. But of course there is that credibility issue that they have to deal with too. If they purposely decide to bad mouth an obviously stellar performance they could give the impression that they are stupid and don’t know what they are talking about and that could lead them down the same path as Paula and Nichole of last season. Of course, some negativity could also result if they are unable to stage their acts well and showcase their true talent.

I think it’s a challenge for the judges as much as the contestants and that is what is intriguing for me. I also think that the mentoring takes the musical performances to a higher level and what you get on stage is a better showcase of the contestant’s abilities. In this format, if you get a really bad performance on this show then you know that the mentors didn’t have much to work with. And then sometimes one or two performances along the way just flop for unexplainable reasons.

I just think it’s a better format all the way around. I also don’t mind the judge’s house part. I think it’s a treat and an honor for the contestants to be invited into the home of the mentor’s. It’s a testiment to their talent to even get that far in the competition, not an insult at all IMO. I don’t see anything different from this and the moving into the “Idol Mansion”. I mean the contestants their get all excited to move into this magnificent home and then one has to move right back out the following week and go home. How harsh is that?
