Think you’ve got what it takes? Think you’ve got The X Factor? Then don’t miss your chance to audition for Simon Cowell’s new reality television talent show when he heads around the country this spring to see the very best of what America has to offer.

This is your opportunity to get the latest audition information for Simon Cowell’s brand new talent search with a prize of a $5 million recording contract. The complete Eligibility Requirements will be posted soon but at a minimum you must be at least 12 years of age by March 1, 2011, a legal US citizen or eligible to work full time, and without a current music recording contract.

X Factor 2011 Auditions:

  • March 27, 2011 – Los Angeles, California: L.A. Sports Arena
  • April 7, 2011 – Miami, Florida: Bank United Center
  • April 14, 2011 – Newark, New Jersey: Prudential Center
  • April 20, 2011 – Seattle, Washington: Key Arena
  • April 27, 2011 – Chicago, Illinois: Sears Centre Arena
  • May 26, 2011 – Dallas, Texas: Dallas Convention Center

Important note: wristbands must be picked up the day before auditions!

Right now you can go to FOX’s X Factor site and register to audition. First, you’ll have to select one of the locations listed above. Second, you have to identify if you’re a solo act or part of a group. Last, you have to submit your personal information which I assume is so they can contact you regarding your audition, though it might just you on a mailing list!

Check out Simon Cowell’s preview video for X Factor as he discusses just what the show is about and how it will work when it premieres here in September 2011.

Considering there will be four groups (young guys, young girls, older singers, and group performers) with each being mentored by a judge I’m guessing then that we’ll have four judges, not three. There have been so many rumors about X Factor judges that I can’t wait to have that confirmed soon.
