Last week on The X Factor 2012, the Top 8 was left standing as Arin Ray and Beatrice Miller were sent home.

Now we have the two eliminated contestants’ exit interviews to share with you and both of them bring up great points about what is wrong with this show.

“I feel like he basically said I’m not ready and that basically means I need to give up,” Beatrice said if judge Simon Cowell. “You want more of encouraging words, which he didn’t give me.”

Beatrice is devastated and is ready to give up. Which brings me to my first point I mentioned above. The age limit for this show is TOO young. Those singers’ voices aren’t done developing, but that’s not even the worst part. The worst part is how emotional they get and what that can do to a person their age. No one at the age of 13 is emotionally stable to be thrust into this temporary stardom then have it ripped out from under them. I digress.

So what did Arin have to say? He brings up my other point: let the singers choose their own songs!

Arin says he wasn’t in his element the past two weeks and he didn’t seem to be happy with the songs he was given to sing. He’s appreciative of Britney and says she’s amazing, but he hints that she may not have given him the best songs to sing.

Just let them pick their own songs, X Factor.

Find out what else Beatrice and Arin had to say in their interviews below.

Happy Thanksgiving, you’re kicked off the X Factor 2012.

That was the case for two acts on Thursday night’s special Thanksgiving results episode of X Factor. Arin Ray and Beatrice Miller, both from Britney’s Teens Group, were sent packing, barely missing the Top 8.

That means each mentor is left with two acts each. Britney was able to lose two in one night and still have two left because of Diamond White being reinstated after her initial elimination.

At the top of the night, we get our typical delays because of sports, and then all the filler performances. Actually, this week we were treated to a not-so-bad group number. The contestants, with the help of some middle school choir took on Coldplay’s “Fix You,” and the outcome wasn’t terrible.

But I’m not here to recap filler numbers. Let’s get to the results. Like last week, the person with the lowest number of votes is sent home with no ifs, ands or buts. And that person was Arin. No surprise there. He was predicted to go home by many viewers and polls. And after his performance the night before, it was no surprise to me either.

One by one, the other contestants were sent to safety and in the end, the two acts left standing on stage were Beatrice and CeCe Frey. No major surprises there. I mean I thought maybe Paige Thomas would be there instead of one or the other.

So Beatrice and CeCe head into the sing-off to allow the judges to make the final decision on who stays and who goes. Beatrice performed Dido’s ”White Flag” and let her emotions take over, which resulted in a not-so-good performance. CeCe took on Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You” and it was probably worse than Beatrice’s. I thought it was time for CeCe to go, but L.A., Simon and of course Demi did not agree.

So Beatrice was the second person of the night to be eliminated. And Beatrice was an emotional wreck. Maybe someone will rethink the age limits for this show and realize what kind of torture this is for someone at a crucial age like 13. But I doubt it. And finally, my favorite part. The rankings. Here’s how America’s vote placed the contestants into the Top 8:

This rankings
1. Carly Rose Sonenclar
2. Tate Stevens
3. Vino Alan
4. Emblem3
5. Diamond White
6. Paige Thomas
7. Fifth Harmony
8. CeCe Frey

I’m surprised that Paige Thomas passed up 5th Harmony. Diamond White passed them up, also, but that’s less surprising. I hope that’s not bad news for them next week. Emblem3 stays in the same spot, as does Vino Alan. And Tate Stevens has finally been knocked out of the No. 1 spot by Carly Rose Sonenclar. And after her perfect performance from the night before, that’s not surprising at all.

What did you think of the eliminations and the rankings? Do you think America and the judges made the right choices?

Tonight Fox ignores the fact that it’s a major U.S. holiday and will air its live X Factor 2012 Top 10 results show. So that means by the end of the night, the Top 10 will become the Top 8.

And after last night’s performances, who lands in the top and who lands in the bottom is easier than ever to predict. With the help from our performance poll, I think it’s safe to say that Carly Rose Sonenclar and Vino Alan won’t be going anywhere tonight. I also think Tate Stevens will remain near the top and CeCe Frey might be continuing to pull herself out of that bottom half.

So who won’t be safe? If we went solely on our poll, Emblem 3, Paige Thomas and Arin Ray would be in serious danger. But I’m not going to go on just that. I’m putting Emblem3 somewhere in the middle. But I am going to agree with Paige and Arin. I predict one of them will be eliminated and the other will have to sing for their lives against another act — maybe Beatrice Miller?

Who do you think will be in danger tonight. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving! Below is Fox’s description of tonight’s show:

On Thursday, Nov. 22 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), tune in for a special Thanksgiving night episode with a performance by Brit teen sensation Cher Lloyd. Then, hosts Khloé Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez will announce the acts that made the cut in an all-new “Live Results” episode. — Fox

The X Factor 2012 Top 10 gave thanks via song on Wednesday night during part one of Thanksgiving Week. Part two will play out on Thanksgiving night as America’s votes send home two more singers.

Tate Stevens, “Already There.” Tate’s performance was emotional and solid. I agree with the judges that it wasn’t his best performance ever. And while I don’t want him moving over to Demi’s dark side with ridiculous production numbers, his performances are getting slightly boring. B+

Diamond White, “Because You Loved Me.” A slow and kind of sloppy start, but it got better. It was sappy and contrived, but that’s the theme this week, so in that case, she nailed it. But seriously, it was emotion and nice. Diamond got lost in the choir though. So that was unfortunate. B

Emblem 3, “Secrets.” It wasn’t as emotional as the other songs, but I liked the song choice and that they wanted to pull back a bit. I think they might need to learn to sing while moving around a bit. They seemed to get a bit breathy. B+

Arin Ray, “Hero.” I felt like he was trying to force some emotion and I found that very distracting. And the vocals were not so good. I think this was probably his worst performance actually. It was all just mediocre. C-

CeCe Frey, “The Wind Beneath My Wings.” This is going to be hard. I don’t want to get hate comments, so I’m not going to say anything about this one. Just tell me what you thought in our comments section.

Fifth Harmony, “I’ll Stand By You.” This was a good solid performance. I love the song and they’re all talented. They were all definitely on for this one. They all work well together. This was probably one of their best. A

Beatrice Miller, “Chasing Cars.” I really liked her take on the song. It was soft and haunting. I’m not sure I get her as an artist, but I think for her age, this was a pretty good performance. B+

Vino Alan, “God Bless the USA.” Well this was a smart song choice. The X Factor audience will eat this up. And on top of that, it was actuality a good and strong vocal. A

Paige Thomas, “Everything.” Finally, just a performance and not a crazy production. But I agree with L.A. I don’t think it was good enough to get her anywhere in the contest. But it was emotional and it fit the theme. B+

Carly Rose Sonenclar, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” Best performance of the night. She didn’t pick some sappy song or turn on the water works. She just dedicated the song to her brother and then sang the hell out of it. A+

What did you think of this week’s performances? Which performance were you most thankful for? Ha.

Tonight on X Factor 2012, the Top 10 takes to the stage to perform songs of inspiration in honor of Thanksgiving week.

So get ready for a lot of ballads and boring songs. I kid, I kid. I mean there will be a lot of ballads, but whether or not they’ll be boring will be up in the air. I do hope Demi and Paige FINALLY tone things down after Paige’s near-eilimination next week. It’s time to cut out the ridiculous costumes and production and just have the girl sing. Just once. PLEASE.

The X Factor 2012 Top 10: Teens – Beatrice Miller, Arin Ray, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Diamond White; Young Adults – CeCe Frey and Paige Thomas; Over 25s – Vino Alan and Tate Stevens; and Groups – Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony.

Be sure to check back in later for live coverage of the X Factor 2012 Top 10 performances and a little later for the full recap of the show. And tomorrow night — yes, on Thanksgiving — the live results show will cut the acts down to the Top 8. Or maybe it’s the Top 9. You never know with Fox. They do what they want, when you want.

It’s Thanksgiving Week so that means the X Factor 2012 contestants will be giving thanks in the form of song.

Yes, the X Factor Top 10 will be singing inspirational songs that represent gratitude and thanks. So we can expect a lot of ballads (and surely some weird and annoying mash-ups produced by Simon Cowell).

And while the actual songs are still hush-hush, some of the contestants have teased what they’ll be doing this week.

“It’s all about inspiration and gratitude. It’s a really beautiful piece. It’s amazing,” says Drew Chadwick of Emblem 3.

Diamond White says she’s taking a similar route with this week’s theme.

“It’s going to be a very emotional week for me because there is a lot that I’m giving in the performance and a lot that I’m telling about my family, things I’ve never talked about before because it’s kinda been hard for me to talk about,” Diamond said. “This week is pretty much ballad week. Mine’s by an amazing diva.”

Not all the singers are going for a super slow song, it seems.

“I’m gonna fake you out a little bit. It’s gonna be kinda of slow but it may or may not get fast in the end,” Beatrice Miller said. “I’m not comfortable singing slow songs every week. It’s not my style. I’d rather sing like pumped up songs, but when you’re giving thanks to someone really important to you, it’s really difficult to find a fast song that’s gonna be able to give meaning to that. So, we’ll see. We’ll see.”

And on Thursday (no X Factor is not taking Thanksgiving off), we’ll find out who stays and who goes in this week’s results show. Also, British teen sensation Cher Lloyd will perform.

We’ll be here Wednesday and Thursday for all of your X Factor coverage.

Last week on X Factor 2012, we watched as Amercia’s votes sent home Lyric145 and Jennel Garcia.

OK, so technically, L.A., Britney and Simon sent home Jennel, but it was America’s votes that put her in that situation. After the dramatic results, the two eliminated acts paused for their exit interviews and we’ve got both of those for you below.

Despite being tossed out of the contest right at the start of last week’s results show and not getting to sing for their lives, Lyric145 remains quite upbeat. Their attitudes are good and they’re very thankful for the opportunity. And it sounds like they’ve only just begun.

“I promise this is not the end and I promise we won’t let you down,” Lyric Da Queen says. So the X Factor-assembled group might giving this thing a go, it sounds.

Jennel Garcia isn’t bitter by any means, but her spirits seem to be a bit more crushed. She’s really confused that Simon voted to send her out despite all the praise he has given her. But like Lyric145, she says it’s not over for her.

“Just because X Factor is over for me does not mean that anything else is over for me,” Jennel said.

Find out what else both acts had to say in their exit interviews below. And check back here Wednesday night for live coverage of the Top 10 performance show.

Since Fox does what it wants and has the tendency not to tell us what’s going on, X Factor 2012 sent two acts home tonight — one based solely on how America voted and the other based on America’s votes and the judges’ thoughts on their face-off performance.

We also were treated to how America’s votes ranked each act. And I’ll say it again: this is my absolute favorite part of the show. I am so happy a show is finally revealing those numbers. I’ve always thought that was something we should know.

Different this week is that we’re getting the first elimination out of the way quickly. The act with the least amount of votes hit the road immediately. There are no second chances or sing offs. The first act of the night to be eliminated is surprising Lyric145. Based on their ranking the week before, that was a bit of a shocker. But based on their performance from the night before, it makes total sense.

After some filler via Taylor Swift, Khole and Mario get back to the results. This time they reveal the nine acts going directly into the Top 10. Announced in this order, those safe are: Arin Ray, Vino Alan, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Diamond White, Tate Stevens, Emblem3, Beatrice Miller, CeCe Frey and 5th Harmony.

That means two members from Demi’s team, Paige Thomas and Jennel Garcia, will face-off as the sing for the judges’ votes.

Jennel performs “The Reason,” by Hoobastank. That was totally not a save-me song or a save-me performance. It was a bad song choice and about a B-minus performance. Paige took on “Paradise” by Coldplay and while it was better than Jennel, it was nothing to jump out of your chair over. Demi really did a number on these two. It’s sad for them that she lead them astray, but I totally blame her for their placement.

Even though I like Jennel WAY better than Paige, I’d still vote to send her home based on these performances alone. But it’s up to the judges. Mario goes to L.A. He votes to eliminated Jennel. Britney agrees. Then Mario skips over to Simon, saving Demi for last. Simon refuses to give his vote until after Demi. Mario argues with Simon (clearly because other producers are barking in his earpiece) but in the end someone realizes Simon is the boss, so they go to Demi. She says she votes to send Paige out, clearly thinking Simon will make the votes a tie, leaving the decision up to America. But Simon instead votes to send out Jennel, meaning she’s the second act leaving for the night.

That was a shady move on Simon’s part, and I think that’s just one more indication that Demi will be out of there at the end of the season as fast as we can say Nicole Scherzinger.

And finally, my favorite part. The rankings. Here’s how America’s vote placed the contestants into the Top 10:

The Rankings:

1. Tate Stevens

2. Carly Rose Sonenclar

3. Vino Alan

4. Emblem3

5. CeCe Frey

6. 5th Harmony

7. Diamond White

8. Beatrice Miller

9. Arin Ray

10. Paige Thomas

For the second week in a row, Tate and Carly are in the top two spots. Arin and Beatrice stayed near the bottom while CeCe and her drama managed to push her to 5th place. But I don’t think she’ll stay there long. We can expect her to fall back in the bottom next week.

What are your thoughts on the X Factor 2012 results this week. Are you happy with the Top 10?

In what became a battle of bad attitudes on “The X Factor” Thursday night, the third act was sent home.

After a shocking bottom 2 was revealed, we were treated to some of the worst attitudes in music competition show history. Stacy Francis and Astro (instead of Lakoda Rayne and Leroy Bell) received the least amount of votes from America and they both let us know they weren’t pleased.

Of course it was really Astro who really let his true colors (and age) shine. Stacy Francis has never actually smiled before, so her attitude Thursday was nothing new.

Astro, who I’ve been saying is too young for weeks, proved me right this week. He actually asked L.A. Reid and the audience if he should perform. As if he was beyond performing for a chance to stay. And later he even said something along the lines of “why should I sing for people who don’t want me here.”

Sure, it’s more than OK to be upset that you’re in that spot. But have a little dignity and respect. Perhaps he could’ve told himself that America thought he was so good Wednesday night that they thought they didn’t need to vote. That happens and probably actually was the case.

Had he not acted the way he did Thursday, he probably wouldn’t have even landed in the bottom again next week. But now his chances are much greater. Especially after hearing the audience boo him – a 14-year-old boy. And I didn’t blame him. I don’t care if he’s 5, 7, 14 or 30, bad attitudes need to be booed.

Stacy’s attitude was nothing to applaud either. She refused to speak and only cracked a smile when she realized Astro’s attitude was worse and might actually save her from elimination.

In the end, it was actually Astro’s talent that saved him and sent Stacy home. I don’t know if I agree with the judges’ decision just yet. In the heat of it all, I think the brat should’ve been sent home. But then I remember how not good Stacy’s performance was Wednesday night. In my recap, her grades averaged out to a D. That’s not good.

So right now, I can’t even make a call on what the outcome should or shouldn’t have been.

I had planned to lead my recap with the surprising news that Lakoda Rayne didn’t even land in the bottom 2. And that Leroy Bell, whom I predicted would join them, escaped unscathed as well.

And the producers clearly knew they were the ones most expected to be in the bottom since they sent them to safety first. I’m pretty happy about that.

When it came time for Astro and Stacy to perform “for their lives,” it was Stacy who probably won that battle. Singing “Amazing Grace” was kind of a weird choice, but she did it pretty well. Astro (I can’t even remember his song) completely phoned his performance in. He even scratched his forehead during it.
